We have been helping a primary school to commemorate its Golden Jubilee. St Catherine’s of Siena Primary School in Garston, Watford will be celebrating this milestone after it was first opened by the Dominican Sisters in 1964.
The school children are burying a time capsule that they hope will be discovered and enjoyed by people in the future. The time capsule is made out of a piece of piping created in our fab workshop. Using piping ensures that the contents of the time capsule are protected from the earth and will be preserved.
As the building work on the school’s new development gathers pace, the children of St Catherine’s are being asked to contribute to the time capsule which will be buried in the foundations of the new building. In years to come, those who discover the time capsule will find homemade crosses, prayers and hopes, paintings and photographs.
Fascel Group is privileged to have been involved in such a momentous project.
